Solar Power: A New Generation...

Seamless Integration:

With the new generation of solar intertie systems there are no limitations to your electrical usage. Your solar system runs in parallel with your electric utility. You simply realize credit for the amount of power you contribute to the utility. Therefore, when the sun is shining, you are using the generated power or receiving credit for it, and when there is no sun, you draw electricity from the utility.

A "net meter" keeps track of how much your system has contributed versus how much you have drawn from the utility. You receive a statement each month reflecting your balance. Each year you settle with the utility on the difference.

Currently you will only be credited for that amount which offsets your usage.

Synergy Electrical Energy Systems will design and engineer a system for you to achieve as close to zero net usage as possible.

WHAT WILL IT COST ME?

There are many creative financing options for these installations, some even allow no money down.

For commercial systems under 30kw (about $1,000 - $1,100 per month in utilities).

Figure your average kwh per month for the past twelve months and multiply by 50. This in dollars will be your approximate out-of-pocket expense after rebate.

In addition, you will receive:

  1. A federal tax credit equal to 30% of your out-of-pocket expense.
  2. Accelerated depreciation on Federal Income Tax.

All of this results in a 8-10 year return on investment.

  • If you pay 20% of your out-of-pocket expense and finance the rest at 5% for 15 years, your payment on that loan will be approximately the same as your avoided PG&E costs.

Rebates & Incentives:

Commercial:

  • $1.90 per watt depending on size of system/rebate program.
  • 30% Federal tax credit
  • Accelerated depreciation
  • Typically results in 8 - 10 year return on investment
  • Payment on loan can be less than avoided PG&E bill, if system is financed.
  • Many financing options exist.

Residential:

  • $2.20 per watt California State rebate
  • $2,000 Federal Rebate
  • Hedge against rising utility rates
